The international observance of World Water Day is an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro.
22 March, 2011- High School of Economics
On this occasion, Zara ECO Club, founded in 2010 in The High School of Economics, with the help of Municipality of Stara Zagora initiated cleaning the local river Bedechka. The students from the 10th grade and their teachers- Mrs. Palazova, Mrs. Doycheva, Mrs. Terzieva and Mrs. Iva Hristova went to the river and started cleaning its banks. They did quite a lot of hard work but did it with pleasure. With this act of civil conscious, responsibility and love to nature, the students from the club helped the beauty and clarity of our town to be restored.
Another initiative of theirs was an ikebana exhibition, entitled Spring Mood. It was put on in the school foyer. It was gorgeous! Congratulations on the participants!
